Can it be fixed. Probably.

But not without much more information. So far I know you appear to be using windows 10.

So lets start with have you tried troubleshooting mode? It is on the help menu. That is generally a good starting point.

Then do you have 4gb of memory? 8gb? 16Gb? The system requirement say something minuscule like 1Gb, but the reality is less than 8Gb generally stutters and jumps and quietly disappears after a time when the disk paging finally corrupts memory.

What processor does you device have? Again the system requirement basically allow Thunderbird to run on a 20 year old computer. (Pentium 4 with SSE) Reality is no so much. You either need a fast CPU or lots of ram. best is both.

Do you have lots of free disk space on your system volume. (The system requirement 200Gb is not actually enough to install and configure Thunderbird. Only install it) Lots of entry level devices have tiny SSD drives for the system and simply don't cope with Thunderbird's default disk requirements on the system volume, unless the profile is relocated to another volume the system disk runs out of disk space and random failures occur.

AMD A10-7800 Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G 3.50 GHz 12 GB RAM 2000GB HDD 6% used None of this crap started until the Beta version was installed without my permission and I am extremely aggravated! If you can assist me that would be stunning. I have had severe medical problems in the last 8 months and have been unable to work, so I have no money to hire someone to work on my computer. Any help that you give me would be wonderful. Thank you, Larry

The beta version has to be downloaded and installed. you don't get on the beta program through some hiccup in the update process.

What version is shown in the More troubleshooting information on the help menu?

101.0b2 thank you for enlightening me about Beta, are you suggesting that I down load Beta? by the way, I really appreciate your assistance. Since I first started working with computers in '97, I guess i have just been extremely lucky as I have rarely had a problem like this.
