HI to all..

in my organization i am implementing thunderbird as our mail client.as few users use the same account i have configured imap to one pc to get mails download and archive it. it is works fine but some times it take much time to archive the mails with the VPN bandwidth.

i am looking for some adon or a method to download imap mails directly after a time period to local pc. and a way to archive them to a said time period

you probably want to use pop if you want immutable local copies. IMAP local mail is really nothing more that a local cache as deleting the mail on the server will delete it in the account locally as well.
