I updated Thunderbird and the Send key is missing. Why is the Send key missing? How do I get a Send link on the toolbar?

I don't know what version I have now because the drop-down "About Thunderbird" doesn't work. Neither does the drop-down "Options".

Run TB in safe mode (hold Option when launching TB). Does it look correct? If it does, launch again in safe mode, and at the prompt 'Reset toolbars & controls', 'Make changes & restart'.
