cannot receive email. started two days ago, didn't do anything different. I can send email. and can access email through provider (talktalk). checked settings all appear correct. followed other questions but nothing has changed. not fully computer literate but can find my way round. any help or suggestions welcome

is there any sort of error message? We know what you tell us, so the more you tell us the more likely someone is to know what the problem is.

the error message is connection to to server pop3.lineone.net timed out

It would appear that talktalk have changed settings without advising customers. this is an issue with pop3

took time but now working
