I recently accidentally downgraded to the latest version of Firefox on my Android phone, and now half my URLs are missing. I find the hostname part of the URL to be quite useful, so i am disappointed that it's missing. I know how to fix this bug on my PC, but about:config send to be disabled for some silly reason on Android. Does anyone know how to flip the bit in the preferences file on Android so the browser correctly shows the full URL? Is there an add-on or something to restore features like this?

On a related note, can you hide the shield and lock icons? They waste more screen space than the text https:// does.

I'm assuming the answer to my question is "you can't" and "download the nightly" but I just want to make sure, as I don't really want to run a beta browser.

Thanks

Hi

I am very sorry, but my answers will be as you expected. At the present time you cannot remove the lock or shields from the address bar..and we do make about:config available in the Nightly version.
