I did not install Lockwise, but this morning it has been installed! Why did it install itself and why are some passwords missing such as my gmail password?

Also Firefox tells me that my gmail is being monitored. This is not a public or company computer but my personal computer. I have always been self employed with no connection to a company, so how and why is someone monitoring my mail?

Thank you for the screenshot. I think that refers to addresses registered with Firefox Monitor through your Firefox Account. If you don't want reports from Firefox Monitor about that address, you probably can turn that off (I haven't experimented with it yet).

Hi dill9145, the old "popup" Password Manager dialog has been replaced with the Lockwise tab in Firefox 70. That part is expected.

Regarding missing logins:

None of your saved logins should have been removed, so I wonder whether this could be a display problem with the Lockwise tab?

If you zoom out on the Lockwise page (hold down Ctrl and tap the - key a couple times), can you see additional logins in the left column that you can't scroll to?

Or can you tell from the way logins autofill that there are saved logins not listed anywhere on the page?

What is the message you see? Is it an alert from Firefox Monitor that there was a data breach involving your Gmail address? You could get more information here:

No, none of my missing logins showed up after trying your solution.

Firefox Monitor previously showed four data breaches involving my Gmail address and I changed passwords for those sites, but I still have the message that my Gmail is being monitored. I have Googled how to remove the monitor, but the information I found indicated this is common for company computers but there was no solution posted for private computer use monitoring.

Is the situation that you don't have any of your logins, or some of them were selectively removed?

If it's only Gmail that was removed, I wonder whether it is related to the message about Gmail being breached, or just a strange coincidence?

Could you post the exact wording or a screenshot of that message? That would help us run searches.
