I used to be able to go to full screen mode without a problem. Now, since the last couple of updates, the screen will no longer go to full screen. It goes to about 66% and that is it. Running version 65.0b4. Thank you

Yes, we screw up. This bug appeared in 65.0b4 and was fixed in 65.0b5. By definition, beta versions may contain bugs. If you want to experience the less buggy behaviour, switch to the release version. Thanks.

Try to rename/remove xulstore.json and if present delete localstore.rdf in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Why not just admit the Mozilla screwed up with an update and then fixed it with this latest update? Every time something goes wrong you experts come up with basically the same response. Most of the time, we the user, have no idea what you are talking about with the look for this and look for that! We are not "experts" like you are - talk in layman's language so we can fix what you screw up. Thanks.
