I am on Ubuntu 17.04. I tried `apt purge firefox` and then reinstalled. Still no text.

Since did a reinstall what about a clean reinstall of Final Release Firefox 57 https://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Mozilla-Firefox-for-Linux/1032985422/2 Delete the firefox folders but not your profile folder. It will be on the Mozilla Servers tomorrow as full version/update Think this is your cure.

It will be on the Mozilla Servers tomorrow as full version/update Think this is your cure.

This issue of mine was resolved once I installed Firefox 57.
