Disable Switch to Tab Firefox 56

more options

Is there a way to disable switching to tab on Firefox 56 for Android? This "feature" is driving me crazy and none of the usual workarounds available for older versions seem to work. Firefox for android also seems to deny me from installing Switch to Tabs No More add on.

Is there a way around this forcefully implemented feature or is it just this way or the highway.

If there is currently no way to remove this piece of crap feature from firefox 56 for android. What is the last version of firefox for android where I can disable this and how would I go about installing it.

Sorry about this feature. It annoys me too, except on Desktop rather than mobile.

Could you explain a little bit to others who might not know why it's so annoying? Like give us an example of what you may be doing & how this feature gets in your way. With any luck, I can pass this on to the developers so they can finally add a option to disable it.

I'm not 100% sure which is the last version you can disable it so I'll give you 3 previous versions to test with:

None of those versions work, and apparently Firefox Quantum removed the ability to disable "Switch to Tab" even on the desktop version from what I'm reading.

Why does Firefox hate its own users.
