Could this be a deleted recurring event? If so, try opening your Thunderbird profile folder (use Help > Troubleshooting Information and click Show folder), close Thunderbird and delete the cache.sqlite file in the calendar-data sub folder (or rather, move it elsewhere.) Also have a look at this question. Could you report back?
