On pages like ebay home page the mouse over menus (ebay categories) will cause firefox to hang and popup a message that says unresponsive plugin.. continue, stop plugin. The only way to stop it is with task manager I have tried: Updating all plugins (Java, flash, shockwave), uninstalling (thru control panel) and re- installing firefox, resetting firefox. It does not work in safe mode either. IE 11 with ebay works fine.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Set all plugins to Never. Restart Firefox. Is the problem still there?

There were 4 plugins that were active. Open H264 video codec, Adobe primetime content decryption module, shockwave flash, and widevine by google. Setting just the shockwave to never made the problem go away I only have one applicable crash report:

Most of the time it technically doesn't crash but is stuck in a hard loop which hangs up the application and drags cpu resources with it.

Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
