When I log in to sync my bookmarks the iOS app hangs and then crashes or needs to be forced to quit

If I log in to my firefox account to sync my bookmarks, a download starts but then the app hangs and either crashes on its own or needs to be forced to close.

On an iPhone 6S plus and an iPad Air 2 running either the release iOS 9.2.1 or the iOS 9.3 beta

Hi GeoffDeGeoff , Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear that Firefox for iOS is crashing when you sync it. Please try the following to troubleshoot. First make a back up of the local desktop profile. Manually back up and restore Firefox profile data

  1. Disable each of the preferences in Sync to try to find out if its one of the collections causing this issue
  2. Try a new account with a different email, to see if its an error that has synced to the cloud.
