Untrusted Connection: Adding Security Exceptions Still Won't Let Me Through

Whatever I do, I can't access this site. I go on it almost every day, so I know it's safe. At first, the "Add Exception" button wasn't even there at all, but after 2 hours of digging through the support forums I managed to get it to appear by Refreshing Firefox. But it doesn't work. So, I bring up the dialogue box, click "Get Certificate" and "Confirm Security Exception". But it doesn't let me go through to the site even with the exception stored. I even checked that the exception is stored under Options > Advanced > Certificates > View Certificates > Servers, and it's there!! So why is it, when I have the security exception permanently stored, that I'm still not allowed through?

Welp, never mind. Somebody else (on the very site which Firefox was blocking) solved the problem for me.
I was like, "Firefox isn't letting me access the site. What's up with that?"
And they were like, "Are you using Avast? Try updating it!"
And I did, and it works perfectly now.

There is security software like Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

This Connection is Untrusted is sometimes caused because the computer system clock is wrong. Check the time / date / time zone settings.
1. I don't have NVidia Forceware installed. 2. The problem isn't related to Firefox not finding the server! I quite clearly said that the problem is that it says "Untrusted Connection", and even when I add an exception it still won't let me through! It's the same error page blocking me even when the exception is stored! 3. I've already spent loads of time digging through the forums, like I said. I haven't been able to find anything helpful in those pages you linked, either because they aren't relevant at all or because I already looked and found nothing! 4. My firewall is allowing Firefox. 5. Of course my clock is right! I already checked all these things before resorting to asking my own question.
I'll reiterate: the problem is that Firefox still doesn't trust the connection even when I've made an exception for it! Why? Do I have to activate the exception somehow?
I've checked where the certificate originates from, and it says the certificate is from "ssl256190.cloudflaressl.com", under "avast! Web/Mail Shield". Do either of those mean anything?
