How do I switch between two thunderbird email acounts on the same computer?
When I open Thunderbird email there is already an email address listed. However it is not my email address with Thunderbird. How can I change it to my email account> Thank you for your assistance.

File|New|Existing Mail Account to add your own email account.
To remove the unwanted account, go to Tools|Account Settings, select the unwanted account, go down to the bottom, click on Account Actions then Remove Account.
If it won't let you do this, the old account may be the default, so set your new account to be the default.
No menu? Press alt.

Nobody has an email address with Thunderbird. They are not an email provider and email providers issue email addresses.
You do add your email address info into Thunderbird email client software so you can manage your email account.
Whose email address do you see when you open Thunderbird if it is not yours? Is this a shared computer? If not why is someone else's address setup in Thunderbird? You can add more than one email address to Thunderbird but I am not sure this is such a good idea if this is a shared computer since there will be no privacy between accounts if you do this.

This is a work computer and the old email is still there, that's how I came to have someone else s email.
