V17 on Android 4.1.1 (Transformer Prime) terribly slow

I use V17 on my transformer prime and I feel that loading and that rendering pages takes about 5-10 times longer than with the stock browser. I tried it with and without my AdBlock Plus installed without any noticeable difference. It is really crazy - even loading the google start page is quicker with the stock browser with a clean new browser start included compared to FF which is already running (a fresh start of FF is about 10 secs which is terrible). Is that really what I should expect?

clear cookies and cache.

make use of 1 click cleaner to clean the cookies.

did not make much of a difference. I have the impression that pages which make massive use of AJAX suffer more than others. One page I use (sorry it's a closed-account-page) is about 15 seconds (FF) compared to 1 (stock browser)
