Can I stop the updates from popping up every time I click on firefox? It updates to often.

When ever there is an update available a pop up comes on when I click on my firefox browser. If I dont install the update then that pop up shows up every time I click on my browser. I would like to say no thank you to the updates all the time and stick with what I have. But if I dont do it then I am slowed down by this pop up. Can I just make the updates stop?
