Do you have a custom New Tab background or custom theme?

BTW. I really don't think that you have 45 GB of ram.

Sorry for digging so deeply into this. They sell this computer with 8/16/32 GB RAM. Are you sure that you have 64 GB RAM?

In the recent release (Firefox 144.0.2) there was a number of Mac-specific fixes.

  • Fixed an issue on macOS where the emoji picker shortcut and menu entry stopped working after switching between apps. (Bug 1980815)
  • Fixed an issue on macOS where dragging images from Firefox into third-party apps like Preview could fail or behave unexpectedly. (Bug 1995345)
  • Fixed performance and video playback issues on macOS 26 (Tahoe) that occurred when the system was under heavy load. (Bug 1995638)
  • Fixed a browser hang on macOS 26 (Tahoe) that could occur when bookmark folders contained loops or repeated references to themselves. (Bug 1995621)

but any of these looks like it's memory hungry.

Can you open about:processes page and try to find a specific process that eats memory? Thanks.

Look at the screnshots, I am not able to show you the 46g as the computer starts to freeze then, so this is a build up of memory usage within a minute

Look I have plenty of RAM, I do not have new custom theme or anything, I did not install anything new, I just updated FF and its eating up all of my memory, my computer has 16gb and then it starts to take it from elsewhere, not sure from where...but when it reached 46gb it completely froze on me which makes sense.

So this is main process. I have no idea what's going on there, sorry.
