Paste text from notepad does paste only the first line of copied text

I cannot paste text into emails, I mean Windows , notepad, select text in the notepad and ctrl-v in the email

I have then tried all the paste options in the "Edit" menu, but none works

I does paste only the first line of the selected text

Why the most basic function is such an issue?

I have updated (though I was outdated to just the previous subversion)

Now it works
