Comfortaa font corruption on Thunderbird and Firefox

Not actually a question, but rather an answer for a problem I've encountered with Thunderbird and Firefox, I figured I should post the solution someplace.

I had been getting font corruption with one of my systems (such as the number "8" having the upper loop squished" and had been trying to find just what was different there. Turned out it was the Google font "Comfortaa" was the culprit. I'm presuming there was some incompatibility with the Mozilla render system (I could not find the broken font by other means). So if you have font corruption, try removing that one first.
