Thunderbird starts inspite it is not my standard e-mail program on my Win-10 lap-top
I have Windows-10 prof. om my computer. I both use the user account on the lap-top for private mails and for my business. For my business I use MS Office 2010 and also Outlook 2010. To easy separate my privat from my business mail I use Thunderbird for my privat mail (very good program). I have set Outlook 2010 as my standard e-mail program in Windows 10 because I sends my invoices directly from my accounting program via Outlook. So Outlook shall start as default when I sends my invoices from the invoice-program.
But even if i have put Outlook as standard e-mail program in Windows10 settings (thing I have done that right), Thunderbird starts and wants to send my invoices. And that is not what I want. Thunderbird is not set as standard program in the Thunderbird-program. And before I installed Thunderbird everything went fine and Outlook started when I should send my invoices.
The same happens when I want to scan directly from my printer to my computer to an e-mail. Thunderbird starts and not Outlook. So it can not be something wrong only with my accounting program.

reinstall outlook.
Hello, and thank you for your answer. I am not so familiar to reinstall Outlook as I bought my computer with MS Office already installed. I have no CD-records, so I guess I have to reinstall in another way by downloading from the cloud? And that I have never done before, and not used to.
Is there no other way to try to solve this problem? :-)

You could probably tinker around in the registry. There might also be settings in outlook to make to resume as default client. But reinstalling will certainly do it. But you are better off asking in an outlook forum. It is the program that is not working correctly of the two. I know Thunderbird as do the other folks in the forum here.
