Address book view: can I display more fields than the default selection list provides?
I only see 14 fields listed in the drop down box beside the default column names and a 15th selection that says "Restore Column Order" ... but there are obviously many more actual field stored in the actual Address Book.
Chosen solution
If you install MoreFunctionsForAddressBook (how to install), the available columns are as shown in the picture.

Thanks ... looks like what I want.
One additional question ... as a total newbie to Thunderbird (this will be the first Addon I give it), when I went to add the .xpi file to Firefox, it gave me a security warning that it's "Unsigned" (/ not officially certified by Mozilla). That said I'm fairly confident it's not "malicious" but as with anything it's a "buyer beware" situation since I couldn't find it in Mozilla's official Addon repository. Q: Is my "buyer beware" understanding for an "Unsigned" addon correct?

Further to my previous response. I tried to install the Addon but can't, I think it's because I'm running Firefox 53.0.3 (64 bit) and in order to override it's "Signature Required" setting, I think I need to switch my Firefox to either the "Developer" or "ESR" edition. Am I correct that I'll need to change my Firefox base version?
Well, to start out, you don't want to install this add-on in Firefox. You want it in Thunderbird.
Simplest way might be to open Thunderbird to its Addons|Extensions page then drag and drop your xpi file onto it.
Thunderbird doesn't use the signed addons scheme. So yes it is "buyer beware" but on the other hand if you can get the addon from a trusted site such as the mozilla addons site you'll be OK. I have never heard of any malware infection via this route.
Thanks to sfhowes & Zenos. Like I said I'm a newbie to Thunderbird and didn't use the correct method for installing the Addon (the .xpi file). The instruction I found, I now realize, were telling me how to install an Addon to Firefox. When I used the correct technique and installed it to Thunderbird, it worked and does exactly what I want. Thanks.
