Thunderbird appears to be sending emails that are over 1 year old to a person in my address book. ????? No virus detected on my end, Any ideas?

A person in my address book has been getting 30 emails (last count) that where sent to her but over 1 year ago. They are coming to her in batches of 10 or 12 at a time. Very annoying. Ran a virus test on my computer and nothing was detected.... any ideas? Is it my computer or hers?
