cannot install java plug-in 1.6.0_25 in firefox 7 under fedora 7
I have firefox 6 under fedora 7, I try to upgrade to firefox 7 but it is it is already up to date, so I manually download firefox 7 in \home\admin\firefox7, but I found there is no java plug-in 1.6.0.25 and I google many site and it mention plugin folder inside firefox folder but I cannot see this folder, so how to install java plug-in 1.6.0_25 in firefox 7 under fedora 7?

I follow many web site recommend method like above, still fail to installed java plug-in 1.6.0_25

I get my firefox by download firefox-7.0.1.tar.bz2 and then unzip it

You need the Java 2 plugin (libnpjp2.so).
libjavaplugin.so is the classic Java plugin and doesn't work in current Firefox versions.
where is the "Firefox application's directory, in the plugins subdirectory"?

finally I solve the problem by cd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins ln -s /usr/java/jre1.6.0_25/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so
I emphasis again, I really cannot find the mention 2 directory: 1) Firefox application's directory, in the plugins subdirectory. 2) in your home directory, in ~/.mozilla/plugins
the most near is extensions directory, not plugins directory, but I try to link libnpjp2.so to extensions directory and the java plugin still cannot be installed in firefox.
You can create a plugins folder in the Firefox Profile Folder and place a symlink to the libnpjp2.so file in that folder.

I install firefox 5 and java 1.6.29, fedora 14, I try create the link as follow [Administrator@localhost ~]$ cd ~/.mozilla/plugins [Administrator@localhost plugins]$ ls -l total 0 lrwxrwxrwx. 1 Administrator Administrator 43 Nov 16 04:32 libnpjp2.so -> /usr/java/jre1.6.0_29/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so [Administrator@localhost plugins]$
but after restart firfox, still cannot find the java plugins, what is the problem?

the screen shot show the link "libnpjp2.so" point to /usr/java/jre1.6.0_29/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so
