Hi I cant find an answer. I upgraded firefox but now it does not work, I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 I cant upgrade this version, I just need my bookmarks and passwords. I don't know how to get them anymore. Why don't you warn that that latest version will not work with my system? I can't loose my bookmarks or passwords! Please help me to recover my bookmarks and passwords.

I know nothing about Macs so give this a try for bookmarks : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

You can consider to install the Firefox 45.9.0 ESR version since this version is more recent (has received more security updates; April 19, 2017) than the Firefox 47.0.2 version (November 1, 2016).
