I upload videos to YouTube. I recently have gotten Firefox as my IE and Chrome had annoying ads and were just plain slow. I love Firefox better already. When I upload a video that is about 23 minutes long it takes me about an hour and a half to upload. My computer has a dual core i7 processor. I checked my control panel and only about 10% cpu is used and only 2 gb of my 16 gb are used (even though I changed it allocate 10 gb in the about:config.) I dont mind the wait, but quite frankly it sounds like my computer is just doing what it feels like. When in IE and chrome the computer fans where goin crazy (not any faster). I feel like If the processor stared using you know like 80% cpu then it would be faster... I guess my question is if there is something restricting the usage of cpu on my computer. And aside from that when I change the allocated RAM to 10gb (10000000 kb) it seems like it still only uses about 2 gb...I just wonder why it isnt trying to process it the fastest because with low cpu and ram usage it isnt really trying to do anything... Thanks!

So, the upload time will vary on internet connection. If there is an issue with how fast it is uploaded you can check if prefetching is turned on, but this does not really affect uploading Controlling DNS prefetching

If you search for solutions, you will see a bunch of tweaks as well that may be helpful to your specific computer. Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL to make sure you are all up to date as well.
