Problem sending emails from talktalk.net account

more options

I've had a problem today which has prevented me from sending messages on my talktalk.net account. The following appears in a message box "Sending of the message failed. Peer's Certificate issuer is not recognised. The configuration related to smtp.talktalk.net must be corrected" On pressing OK, another box pops up titled "add security exception" - image attached (587 is the default port) On pressing "Get certificate", the message "No information Available, unable to obtain identification status for this site" appears.

Any ideas? Thunderbird updated to the most recent release 78.7.0 on 27th Jan, and I sent a couple of emails successfully on 28th Jan

It sounds like your Anti-Virus software is throwing a wobbly. click on on 'Confirm security exception'

If this continues to be an ongoing problem, see if unstalling Thunderbird and then reinstalling from this link fixes. https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/
