Running OpenSuse 13.2 with Firefox 46.0.1

The Firefox files were copied over from an old XP machine onto a new OpenSuse machine (copied over to /home/cmartin/.mozilla). After a reinstall of Firefox to get the necessary files to carry over (passwords, history, bookmarks, etc.), I noticed that addons would not save after reboot. When I open an instance of Firefox as Root, the addons remain after reboot. As a standard user, the addons disappear after reboot. The files appear to be 600 (for files) or 700 (for directories). The ownership points to cmartin:users.

What files do I need to chown or chmod and with what settings to get addons to save for the standard user after reboot?

When I copy over a backup Profile for Firefox or SeaMonkey on Linux I make sure the browser is closed. Then start the browser with the -Profilemanager switch to then create a new Profile.

I then quit the browser and go find the Profile I created and the backup Profile. I then delete the contents in new Profile and copy the content from backup profile and paste into new Profile. Then I start the browser with new Profile selected and all should be there.

Though since you are going with a Profile from Windows Firefox you may want to just copy over your essentials first and try.
