i can't choose to video chat on omegle although my cam works with skype and other sites
When I go to omegle.com it won't allow me to choose the video option. it remains gray and says loading but doesn't turn blue to allow me to click it. I have used the site in the past with no issues and I don't believe I did anything to change any settings. I tried chatroulette and other sites and they ask if they can access my webcam (built in, ArcSoft on Sony Vaio laptop) and work fine, just as omegle used to. The camera also works fine on skype. Can someone please help me I am trying everything I can think of with no success.

Make sure that there are no permissions shared for this site.
#You can go to about:permisssions in a url of a new window
- Or you can right click on the page and select "Page Info"
- In the pop up, click on the permissions tab and make sure camera is listed to share as well as the default audio. Then refresh the page.

i checked 'Allow' instead of 'Use Default' for both the camera and the microphone and nothing changed for me. As far as shared permissions, I am not sure that I know how to check for that, if you mean are permissions from another site being shared to Omegle. I don't believe so. And other video chatting sites have worked fine for me. I am still very frustrated and confused. I am checking daily with no change. I still cannot click the video option. It says loading and never becomes and option for me
That is the right menu and apologies for the confusion, this was to check to make sure that there was not a saved permission that blocks the camera.
Other troubleshooting steps are:
- To make sure that the website does not block cookies: Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them
- To make sure that all of the extensions, like Flash is up to date: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
