Every time I start-up Thunderbird, a series of 2 pop-ups from Yahoo open up: [ Sign in using your Yahoo account ]. I close the pop-up and a 2nd one pops-up. I close it and say 10 or 15 mins they pop back up in the same series. It's very frustrating. I can't tell if it's Yahoo or a scam cookie. I notice the URL at the top of page and it's the same one every time and every day. The same URL shows: "https://login.yahoo.com/?src=thunderbird&client_id=dj0yJmk9NUtCTWFMNVpTaVJmJmQ9WVdrOVJ6UjVTa2xJTXpRbWNHbzlNQS0tJnM9Y29uc3VtZXJzZWNyZXQmeD0yYw--&crumb=uE2cxQuNxpE&login_hint= ..." <... it goes on for a few more lines. It's long. I went to Firefox and cleared all 'cache' and 'cookies' and they still pop-up in Thunderbird. Heck, they just popped up again while writing you! How do I stop this intrusion while using Thunderbird? Thanks, RonD

When signing in to Thunderbird to set up emails on new laptop can not get new computer to accept password and there is no where to change it. I have changed iy on the old computer several times does not help

I have for a while been getting popups that TBird is unable to write email to a mailbox.

'Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the email system allows you write privileges, and you have enough file space to copy the mailbox'.

I saw that at least one other person reported this, and the suggestions included:

1. Rebooting. Done, no effect. 2. Antivirus interference. I am using standard Windows antivirus. Have been using same for years without issue.

The problem does not appear to interfere with writing to mailboxes. Seems to be an erroneous popup only.

I am trying to add a business gmail account to my Thunderbird on Desktop and have run into difficulty.

I tried to use This Article in order to overcome the issue, however it is dated 2018 and seems very out of date with the current UI. So I am struggling with how to rename the incoming/outgoing servers to allow the new gmail account into the host.

When I try to add the gmail account I get the window to sign into the new account, but when I click continue I get "The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know." (see attached image).

Escaping out of the log in screen brings me back to the config page which appears to have accepted the account, until I hit continue and then it tells me that the incoming server is already in use. (see the second image).

I also tried turning off the experimental add account and use the previous interface to work the problem. I got the same results both times.

Please advise, I'd really like to have access to the account emails on my desktop without using the google web interface.

If I sent emails via my iPhone or iPad, they show immediately in the Sent folder on iCloud.com (visible in a web browser). But ones I am sending now on my Mac (Tahoe 26.3, ARM) using Thunderbird don't show in the Sent folder.

I really have no idea how long this has been the case - I just tripped on it as I was trying to verify that an email had in fact been sent from my Mac. (I'm a senior - maybe they never got saved and I just never noticed).

I sent a number of emails to myself - they arrived but don't show in the Sent folder.

Maybe I need to set some value in the email header to have it saved? Or something there is suppressing saving? Or they are not suppose to appear there?

Solo pochi vecchi messaggi erano presenti. Non riusciva a connettersi con Virgilio e mi chiedeva una nuova password. Non riuscivo a fare niente perché continuava a chiedere. Dovevo chiuderlo stavo pensando di usare outlook o gmail. Alle 1745 l ho riacceso e funzionava tutto. Sono riapparsi i vecchi messaggi ed arrivati quelli nuovi di oggi . Non so che dire

everytime I open Thunderbird I get a popup window from Yahoo finance with a server timeout message. I am unable to connect to get my emails through. I need to log on directly to Yahoo mail, which is a pain.

Hopefully someone can help me with this.

I tried transferring TB to new computer, nothing has worked. w11 TB148. Manually didn't work, tried coping from Troubleshooting Information/profiles. I don't know why there are 2 TB's? Under local and roaming but I tried. The video is out of date. It's a new install of TB so it opens with create account, both computers W11 and TG148! Please somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Zur Zeit verfolge ich die Änderungen bezüglich der externen Schlüsselverwaltung in Thunderbird-Beta, da das Arbeiten mit externen Schlüsseln in der esr- und in der relesease-Version von Thunderbird seit der offiziellen Herausgabe von gpg2.5.x absolut nicht mehr möglich ist! Die geheimen Schlüssel für das Entschlüsseln und Signieren werden mit gpg2.5.x nicht mehr gefunden!

In der Schlüsselverwaltung von TB-Beta befinden sich meine öffentlichen Schlüssel und alle öffentlichen Schlüssel meiner Kommunikationspartner. Extern sind meine geheimen Schlüssel gelagert. Folgende Präferenz wurde aufgrund von gpg2.5.x hinzugefügt:

Mit Herausgabe von Thunderbird/148.0 (release) sind dort die gleichen Probleme mit der externen Schlüsselverwaltung zu bepbachten!

Mit Versionen gpg < 2.5 funktioniert unter Windows alles problemlos!

UNTER LINUX haben hier Änderungen an der Präferenz: "mail.openpgp.load_untested_gpgme_version" nachweislich keinerlei Auswirkungen!

At the moment, I’m following the changes regarding external key management in Thunderbird Beta, because working with external keys in the ESR and release versions of Thunderbird has become absolutely impossible since the official release of gpg 2.5.x! The secret keys required for decryption and signing are no longer found when using gpg 2.5.x!

In Thunderbird Beta’s key manager, my public keys and all public keys of my communication partners are present. My secret keys are stored externally. The following preference was added because of gpg 2.5.x:

However, even after all these measures, the following error message appears: **"The secret key that's required to decrypt this message is not available."**

With the release of Thunderbird 148.0 (release), the same problems with external key management can be observed there as well!

With gpg versions **older than 2.5**, everything works flawlessly under Windows!

What am I missing?

Walmart has abandoned passwords as 2nd id check. now they send email. I've requested re-send about 8 times. Still not appearing in my mail. How can i find if T=bird is filtering out ? Once I think I saw a notice show up for about 1/2 second and then it was gone.

I'm finding that folders under my email heading are missing, until I find them completely out of alphabetical order. Then I move them to where they belong, and a day later they are somewhere else. How to correct this?

When a message is removed from a folder via that folders' Retention Policy, is the message permanently deleted or does that message go to Trash? I use Thunderbird with Gmail via POP. Thank you.

Couldn't find a way to create a new address book, so I used an old one and re-named it and added a new list of names and emails, but when I tried to send an email message, when I typed in the name of the new address book, the field turned RED. Can I send it? How to create a new address book that will work? THANK YOU!
