Thunderbird 147.0esr Email arrives. I open it It has the usual 'view this thread' link I click that link waterfox opens all of my home pages.....not the email I have disabled all add ons, in both thunderbird and waterfox....I have changed profile in waterfox & synced with firefox.

I run my BTinternet mail account via Thunderbird and would like to run my two Gmail accounts via Thunderbird too. Do I just do that by clicking on the + New Account button, please? I'd hate to lose access to my BT mail by doing that. (Switched to Thunderbird from Outlook a year ago and have never regretted it!

My previous computer crashed and got a new one (Win 11 of course - new for me).

I downloaded Thunderbird. With the help of an Earthlink (my email) tech, all but one of my emails (gmail) were entered. Then I downloaded and began reading them.

The first thing I noticed was the Next and Previous buttons are missing (or placed where I don't see them).

The second thing I noticed is that when I click on one email to read, all the emails in the respective Inbox also open. This is very annoying.

I also hope someone can tell me the info I need to add a gmail account. (I rarely use it, but there two websites which require a gmail email to log on.)

And I had made a T-bird "backup" but haven't used it yet. I'd like to IF I can locate it.

P.S. Is it possible to shut off the AI "help" while writing this. I find it annoying, slows me down.

On new computer. I went to Add-ons and searched for Imogies/Emojies, etc., but nothing comes up. I hoped to have the set I had as an add-on on previous computer (which crashed - had to start from scratch).

If anyone knows how to get it, I'd appreciate knowing. I loved using it.

(I know about "Win." - but that doesn't have nearly as many emogies as the Add-on.)

On January 1 my desktop version stopped downloading my GMAIL but my other non gmail are still downloading

I use Windows 10 and the version of Thunderbird is 147.0 64 bit

What can I do to fix this?

Just after installation, and before going any further like adding the email account, ; google: Error 400 "the server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That's all we know"

Hi I was using TB 142 without problems. When upgrading to 143 ou 144.B4 I have problems sending mails to all users after some times. Usually the first mails are sent immediatly but after around 10 mails, I have very slow response (varies from 5 sec to more than 1 minute and sometimes timeout). Usually quitting TB solves the problem but this is very annoying. I went back to 140LTS and sems to have no longer this problem. This was tested on many diffrent networks. I am running under Fedora release 42

HI, I HAVE KINETIC FOR EMAIL, I HAVE ALL THE CORRECT INFO ENTERED IN SET UP YOUR EXISTING ACCOUNT AND IN INCOMING AND OUTGOING SERVERS AND I KEEP GETTING UNABLE TO LOG IN AT SERVER. PROBABLY WRONG CONFIGURATION USERNAME OR PASSWORD.. I CONTACTED KINETIC AND THEY SAY CONTACT TB ? BEEN USING TB FOR A LONG TIME YEARS, SO NOT SURE WHAT HAPPEND ON THE NEW UPDATE .. My question is, whether or not the android Thunderbird will interact with the windows Thunderbird I have on my laptop. On my laptop, I have Thunderbird redirect emails into various folders. On my cellphone, I'm currently using Fairemail but it's not aware of those folders on my laptop which is a problem when doing a search on my cell for a specific email, if the email I'm looking for has migrated to those folders on the laptop. I can send but not received emails from my several accounts. I know there's email on some, as I can see and read them with Mailwasher.

I have noticed previous posts here with the same problem, but I haven't seen a viable solution. (I'm on a new computer since last week.)

I just upgraded (reluctantly) to Win11 on my desktop, and my POP Thunderbird account did not survive the upgrade. I had to switch over to a new IMAP Thunderbird, losing all of my POP folders (which are still on my disk). Just not, apparently, accessible.

Anyone have info on how to re-access or somehow get them into my IMAP install?

hi today thunderbird started showing yahoo popup login and after adding credentials i always get "something went wrong.We could not sign you in. Try again from a different device." Also popup once closed it opens instantly.

i can sign in normally from browser. thunderbird version is 147

is there any fix about this?

I have Thunderbird installed on a Surface Pro running Windows10 and on a Surface Pro running Linux Fedora. When I use the Windows10 computer to prepare a Thunderbird export file for the profile, the Fedora machine Thuderbird import command will not read it.

The Windows10 machine has Thunderbird 147 and the Fedora machine has 146. Is the difference in version responsible for the failure to import the profile files? Or is it something else?

If the difference is the version of Thunderbird, then how do I get 147 on my Fedora machine?

If it is something else, what do I do so that I do not lose saved emails and calendar data from 147 version when I am running the 146 version?

I have TB setup to allow customstylesheets with userChrome and userContent.css files generated. I have userChrome setup to my liking. Now I want to modify the userContent.css file so that I can set the background color of almost all elements is #222226 except for email text, hyperlinks, and imbedded images. I have this setup now in userContent.css:

body { background-color: #222226 !important; }

{ color: white !important; /* Changes font color to white for all content */ }

This changes most elements the way I want but it also flips the color of other HTML content, embedded images for signatures and other html content so its inverted to unreadable white content with white text. Is there a way to set it up so that HTML content and images are not inverted?

TB version 140 Debian Edition on Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.3

Is there a way to have TB auto delete Trash msgs older than a specified number of days. I don't want to just empty all the Trash folder, but I would like to be able to tell it to empty all messages over 30 days, or 42 days or whatever. Suzanne

Since we needed to upgrade 2 PCs to Windows 11 (1x Pro & 1x Home) nothing works anymore with Thunderbird. It has MASSIVE and unsolvable problems to connect to our Gmail account via OAuth, Not only will it ask every single time again and over again to allow the connection, but moreover even after granting access it still can NOT send (SMTP) or save or even receive (IMAP) emails. It is maga frustrating and I am currently after days and days spend to unsuccessful fix the problem are at the point to looks for a more reliable alternative (if there is any). Just as background: Our Gmail account is about 14GB big, the local Thunderbird folder around 100GB; so yes it's big, but that's another problem, there are no easy or straightforward off-line archivers any longer to effectively and still easy accessible reduce the local archive.
