Since a few days ago, Firefox has been struggling with the likes of youtube, twitch and other streaming videos where the the videos will constantly freeze up, forcing me to use a different browser in order to watch videos.

Nothing has changed (ie I have not added any new extensions), and have also done a flat re-install of Firefox to no avail (as well as trying firefox without the Mozilla VPN on to see if that did anything).

Whenever i try to open YT Videos or other in-browser videos in Full-Screen, the video only fills the screen to like 95%. The top and the left have a small bar, which just shows my desktop background. (See att.)

Closing the Full screen window and resizing the firefox window, repairs the issue. But after a restart it happens again.

Enabling hardware acc. kinda fixes it, but not consistently. And i would prefer to not use hardware acc.

A reinstall did not help and i dont seem to be the only one with this issue.

I see a youtube video ready to play when I open my wifi icon on the taskbar. Only happens when Firefox has Youtube open in a tab and I've watched at least one video in preview mode or on the video page. I really wish to turn it off if I can.

When I play YouTube videos in Firefox, they are constantly choppy and slow, even though my internet connection is fine and other browsers (like Chrome) work smoothly. This happens with both HD and lower quality videos. I've already tried clearing cache and disabling extensions, but the issue persists. Please help me fix this.

When I play a video in fullscreen and type something, when I typed something in the IME and will press Esc to quit the IME, the whole fullscreen will be quitted. The expected behavior is to quit the IME only, and the fullscreen should be quitted only when there is no IMEs.

The issue has been existing for years.

When watching a video on a platform and the video needs to load, instead of pausing to load then play it once again, it doesn't stop, making the video audio sound so glitchy that you can't understand it

surprisingly, it works as expected on youtube
