Warum in Englisch??? Ich lebe in Deutschland, habe mich in Deutschland in "Deutscher Sprache" angemeldet und erwarte dass Firefox dass nicht nur zur Kenntnis nimmt, sondern auch anwendet! Ich will nicht bei jedem Umblättern oder anklicken von Links jedes Mal wieder versuchen eine Deutsche Seite zu erlangen - das ist ätzend und leider auch technisch nicht sehr überzeugend! Auch auf dieser Seite sind die meißten Texte in Englisch -das ist einfach schlecht - wenn ich dem System als Sprache Deutsch angebe, erwarte ich von einem System im 21. Jahrhundert, dass er das nicht nur versteht sondern auch beibehält und auch bei der nächsten Anmeldung in dem Account noch weiß und nicht wieder erneut mit dem "Engisch-Zirkus" beginnt. Leider ist diese Programm gefühlt davon weiter entfernt als Berlin von NewYork! Dass ich inzwischen 79 Jahre alt bin ist einerseits schön, andererseits leider sehr anstrengend, da die Anforderungen an einen Account ganz offensichtlich im 21. After Firefox automatically updated to version 156.0 (64-bit) on Windows 11, I can no longer change the browser interface language.

The browser UI is currently displayed in English. In Settings > Languages, I can select Chinese as the Browser Language, but the change is never applied.

What happens: - I select Chinese as the Browser Language. - Firefox asks to restart (or saves the setting). - After restarting Firefox, the entire interface is still in English. - Rebooting Windows does not help. - The setting appears to be ignored.

Before updating to Firefox 156, the browser language worked correctly.

Additional information: - Firefox version: 156.0 (64-bit) - Operating system: Windows 11 - The issue started immediately after the automatic update. - Website language settings work normally. - Only the browser UI language cannot be changed.

Has anyone else experienced this issue after updating to Firefox 156?

I get messages, questions and info from Firefox in Dutch. My language preferences in setting is English UK across the board. Browser, preferred, fall back and web site language. It works most of the time, apart from with Firefox. What can I do to make Firefox talk English to me?

I have spell check turned on in setting to check as I type. And yes I have two dictionaries downloaded and installed. But as I am working inside a program and I have to enter data into a text field, if I want it spell checked I have to right click and then click on Spell check for every field that I enter text into. For a while last week it was working without having to do that, and I had done nothing to make it happen. It was nice. Since then I realized I want spell check on. But I can't figure out how to set it so that it turns on for every field that I click into to enter text. Any ideas?

Problem number 1: It should be based on the installed language.

Problem number 2: It says PT-PT but it's 100% PT-BR, What is "celular" and "privativo"?, sintax does not conform to european portuguese either.

Hi First of all thanks a lot Mozilla team for creating a wonderful master piece of security and privacy. I really love firefox browser native translation feature. By unfortunately my native language still missing. I am still surprised why urdu still not added as language in translation. There are arround 500 millions native urdu speaker's Please support urdu Also.

Your 'translate page' is NOT working efficiently anymore on my desktop and it is impossible to get work done now I go to my phone, and you've rearranged everything and I can't find it there Firefox is becoming a burden. I left a google review and it tells me to come here... 3 days and 6 pages later I found where I can ask for help and not get an 'article' from 2023 Ridiculous

Speller is not activated or sometime activated only sporadically. Checked all setting on the browser. It happens mostly on X.cm of Bluesky platforms

I use to have spell check on my Mac Air, but now it's gone. How do I get it back on? I've googled to find out, tells me to go to Settings, Language, etc. Spell check shows it's mark in the box, but when I go to type in words it doesn't come underlined in red. How can I get it back?

Firefox shows Russian as the selected "Fallback language", but I cannot change it to another language.

My current language settings are:

Preferred language: English (US) Fallback language: Russian Website languages: Ukrainian [uk], English (United States) [en-us], English [en]

I do not want Russian to be used as a fallback language.

Steps to reproduce: Open Firefox Settings. Open the language settings. Set the Preferred language to English (US). Observe the Fallback language setting. Try to change the Fallback language from Russian to English or Ukrainian.

Actual result The Fallback language is set to Russian and cannot be changed to another language. The fallback language dropdown works correctly, but the list contains only Russian.

Expected result

The Fallback language should be selectable independently of the Preferred language, and I should be able to select English (US) or Ukrainian or Polish instead of Russian.

Additional information

The issue is present on:

Firefox 154.0.1 macOS Apple Silicon (aarch64)

The Website languages setting already contains Ukrainian and English, but this does not allow me to remove Russian from the Firefox UI fallback language.
