when I go to icloud.com to view and download photos and all my icloud stuff on my phone, I can no longer sign in using firefox. I turned off the shield security but no help. There used to be a pop-up that let you enter the code apple emailed you so you could access your icloud stuff on the web. Now there is no place to enter the code they send you. I enabled pop-ups too, but that didn't work. Help! I need my photos! And I use that site pretty much constantly-

How to verify offline Firefox installer using its .asc file

I have downoloaed Firefox offline installer (a .xz file) from here:

https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/139.0b9/linux-x86_64/en-GB/

I have also downloaded a .asc file, presumably a pgp signature.

Now both files are saved locally in my computer.

Assuming Linux latest release, how do I verify the contents of the offline installer file (.xz) from the Linux Terminal? I have install gpg tools. And commands like ```gpg``` are available.

What I did so far:

 gpg --show-keys --with-fingerprint firefox-139.0b9.tar.xz.asc

with this output:

gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.

Do you really want us to verify the contents of the installers you provide? A sha256 sum would be great, though not as secure, for when the GPG predictably fails for the ordinary user due to its huge and useless complexity and bureaucracy.

I was excited to receive the new Tab Groups feature and am now disappointed that it's not working and I've 'lost' dozens of tabs.

Here's what I did: I created several groups by right-clicking and added tabs to each of the groups. Since it appears that only way to collapse a group is to "save and close group," I closed each group. Now they are all gone. When I right-click to create a new group or "add tab to group," the closed groups are nowhere to be found. Plus, I do not see a "list all tabs icon" on my toolbar to reopen the grouped tabs, which is what [article] says should happen.

Suggestions for making this work?

Since the Tahoe upgrade I can't login to my google account because the 'Passkey' prompt that the system is supposed to automatically trigger, never eventuates as it used to in Sequoia. A recent update (https://windowsreport.com/firefox-fixes-an-8-year-old-windows-bug-that-broke-virtual-desktop-use/) has broken behavior I previously depended on as part of my workflows: If I clicked a link in one desktop, it would open that link in the browser instance on the last desktop I'd used, so I could keep all my browser windows on one virtual desktop full-screened for easy viewing, then slide back to my other workspaces for messaging/writing/etc.

Now, apparently as a bug fix, every time I try to open a link on a desktop, it creates a new Firefox instance in that desktop instead of opening the link in the browser I have open on other workspaces. This has dramatically impacted how I work. How can I restore the previous behavior? It is so disruptive having new windows opening all the time instead of keeping them in my dedicated browser workspace. If there isn't a fix for this, I will need to move to a new browser.

Ran into an interesting bug with Firefox since installing the macOS26 Dev beta. Whenever I use command space to bring up spotlight, Firefox become unresponsive, the beach ball will spin. It will only happen if Firefox is in focus when I use spotlight, and only if I am signed into Firefox sync.

I am not sure of a way to help replicate this issue as it seems to only happen when signed with Sync, but I would be happy to provide additional if I can.

Have been having an issue for the past month or two where if left in the background firefox will slowly start to eat up my available ram. I was using it like this perfectly fine for years previous to now.

I dont have this issue when I'm actively using it, only when I tab away from it and specifically its not on screen. Once I tab back to firefox the ram usage immediately dips back down to normal. I have tried many things to try and solve this like doing a clean install of firefox, getting rid of extensions, clearing my browser cache, closing all other apps to verify it was just firefox, clearing my history, turning on hardware acceleration. Nothing seems to help, im really at a loss and I don't understand what changed besides it being updated in the past couple of months.

My computer is fairly heavy duty and I have 16gb of ddr4 ram that again was working perfectly fine to run firefox before these past couple of months. As a result of this issue however if left in the background for too long on accident firefox uses up all my idle ram and starts causing other programs to not be able to run and has even crashed my computer previously when trying to run a program like clip studio paint.

I have noticed that while running the firefox task manager there is definitely some difference in memory usage when i tab back in after letting it be in the background so I have attached screenshots of the regular usage while tabbed in and the captured usage when i tab back in.

Any possible solution is welcome because I really enjoy using firefox and i dont want to have to switch browsers unless absolutely necessary.

hi, I recently purchased a new wireless mouse and keyboard... and my only problem is that there are a couple extra buttons on my new mouse... roughly thumb position... and are by default set to navigate backward and forward.... I'm running ubuntu linux... which results in accidentally clicking back midway through a video or podcast and losing my position more often than you'd expect... any idea how I might either reassign or disable them entirely on the software side of things? thanks. -dan

Hi,

I started to notice recently that calendars in some websites I browse with Mozilla are inaccurate. The dates like months, days,... are in a mess. Then I used Google Chrome instead of Mozilla and it went right. It was accurate with Chrome browsing those sites. Did you hear of the same problems with Mozilla ? What can be wrong ?

Thanks for your insights,

All the best,

Denis
