my pc os updated to win 11, browser keeps asking to set firefox as default I have done this several times; in win11 app setting screen; so is it a bug in browser or in win 11, I will hit the ignore option. This is a FYI to Mozilla team. Artwin Sturnacle, asturnacle@msn.com

Your system has now blocked me from accessing Jacquie Larson e-card site to receive or send e-cards. Today it blocked me from opening my statement from Edward Jones. Both of these are sites I have used for years and do not pose a threat to my computer. How do I get rid of this aggressive blocking and get back to reaching these websites?

I recently used the function to create my own theme for the browser, after a few months I wanted to install another theme (not a custom one, but from the store) and encountered the problem that after re-entering the application my custom theme returns, but another one is specified in the settings, and so after each re-entry. Hey, I've been experiencing my YouTube and Twitch tabs crashing almost every 20-40 minutes and it's been kind of annoying.

Does anyone know if the crashes are because of my drivers or Windows not being up to date? Never had this issue with Opera before.

Firefox kept eating my RAM, running dozens of processes. I have gone into about:config and set the dom.ipc.processCount to 1 - then I restarted Firefox and found 5 processes running straightaway before even using the browser. I closed it down and have started it again and now there are 11 processes running with just one tab open. The problem repeats on three different computers which are not infected with malware. One computer with slightly less RAM I now cant even use Firefox at all (though all other browsers work fine) because the tabs constantly crash due to the high number of processes. Is there any way to set the process limit low in a way that Firefox actually responds to?

For some reason, though I have changed absolutely nothing with my browser, now any time a link is supposed to open automatically in a new tab, it opens in an entire new window. My mouse only has two buttons (Magic Mouse on Mac), so there is no way at all for this to be user error in that regard. The best example is in Gmail when you have multiple accounts signed in, you click the profile picture in the upper right and select a different account which then opens in a new tab. I notice that when I use a fresh profile the issue goes away, and migrating a copy of my existing profile between different Firefox versions (this profile I use in 115 ESR exclusively, I don't use it with more than one version, I just mean for testing purposes here), including forks like Waterfox, all are affected by this issue. Is there something in about:config I should look for to change?

I had several pinned tabs set up in Firefox. I switched the Desktop in Windows 11 to use Firefox and to not interfere with my current Desktop Firefox. Afterwards, I discovered my pinned tabs were gone on both desktops.

Is there a way to change the size of the sections in Firefox? For instance, I don't need so much space for the listings of Inbox, Sent etc. or the Tabs but would like to have more space for the web pages themselves. I ask because I've got a sight impediment and have to increase the text size. This means that the web "window" (Sorry, don't know the correct terminology) is so big that I have to scroll down to see it.

The other day I attempted to use a script in the Greasemonkey extension, which would not work for me. I deleted the extension in the end, but in the process of trying to get it to work, I disabled all other extensions for a time to test what the problem might be.

Ever since then my profile seems to be corrupted in some way. I have refreshed Firefox, as well as made a new profile to test where the error must be. As soon as multi-account containers is reinstalled, the problem returns. This includes the fact that yesterday, for unrelated reasons, I decided to install Linux Mint for my OS and stop using Windows - as soon as I signed in my Firefox account and the profile synced in the new OS, the error returned. (The attempt at refreshing Firefox was done after installing Mint; the test profile was done on Windows.)

This is the behavior I'm seeing:

- I cannot drag a tab that's logged into a different container into a tab group with tabs that are not signed into any container. This includes tabs logged in on the Facebook container. - In fact, I cannot drag any tab that is logged into a container anywhere - they insist on being all the way to the right in the list of tabs. - If a tab logged into a container is all the way to the right in any given window, the button to open a new tab will automatically open the tab in that container instead of opening in no container, which is my preference.

I use the multi-account container extension extensively and would like to see this fixed. If anyone has any idea of what could be happening here I'd appreciate the help!

I'm a daily user of firefox and for years I've used the pinned tabs to save my current videos, websites, whatever so I can watch later. Never had any major problems, if I accidentaly closed a firefox window with the pinned tabs while having another firefox window opened, I would just "Restore previously closed window" and get all my stuff back. But now, from yesterday night 2025-08-31 to this morning 2025-09-01, I opened firefox on my PC and my tabs were not there, there was also no option to restore the previous session or window, I simply lost all the stuff I had stored.

I perused the files in the dir `sessionstore-backups` of my profile and they are all from this day, not from the previous day.

Is there any way you guys store those backups from previous sessions when syncing my data to your servers? Can I recover these at all?

So the other day I spent hours deleteting old bookmarks (and bookmarks that have for some reason duplicated) from firefox browser, alongside tagging them and other housekeeping things but when I went back into the manage bookmark page all the things I did yesterday had reset so all the bookmarks I had deleted came back all the tags (but one) I made gone. So how do I stop bookmarks resetting to what they were?

After 11 year I suddenly can't access my Wordpress blog on Firefox. I have to use Chrome to access it - with no problems. I have been on Ubuntu Elementary for years years and have never had difficulty accessing my blog. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox twice, I have emptied my entire cache and cookies. I also tried to empty my DNS on Ubuntu Elementary but my version doesn't have DNS. The problem started 24 hours ago.
