Hi everyone! I have a couple issues that I'm encountering for an otherwise solid experience.

1. Scrolling with my touchpad or touchscreen on my laptop is choppy with Firefex while being smooth as butter using Edge and Chrome. It's on a specific website with a ton of pictures - Slickdeals.net. No problems with all other websites. The issue is w or w/o hardware acceleration.

2. I thought I found something great with Firefox's option to disregard a site's native font...so that my chosen option will override every site. Instead, it's showing up on only a handful of sites I use. More confounding is the fact that changing font size is not taking effect...when I choose 'reader view' those options work perfectly but going into the main settings just won't act accordingly. I'm also on the Microsoft forum talking about help with a virus but I'd like to know if anyone else is struggling with this...thanks!

i have saved initial searches i did in firefox as bookmarks in the bar under the search bar. i have now setup a seaparate bookmark folder to save these website bookmarked links into. if i reopen each of the initial bookmarks and save the link using the blue star process into the new bookmark folder i created, will that link become permanent? and can i then delete the initial links that sit on my firefox under the address bar and the newly saved links in the new bookmarks folder be still available?

I usually watch videos on Firefox on Stan - https://www.stan.com.au/account/login - with no problem on Debian. Just wondering if this is a fault with Firefox on FreeBSD, so I know where to go looking for the problem. Other outlets have sub par performance, also, such as YouTube, where the video comes up but plays like it's operating at one frame/5 seconds, with no sound. Thanking you for any time and trouble.

Using iMac with M3 chip. Latest system software: Version 26.5.2 (25F84). On latest Firefox update.

I am no longer able to log in to my bank using the Firefox browser, BUT am able to log in using the Apple environment...ie Safari, and iOS. I'm a longtime customer/consumer of both Firefox and the bank, and this is the first time I've been unable to log in. I prefer Firefox over Safari, but my bank was recommending that I use another browser...like Safari, Chrome...etc. What do you think is the reason for what I would assume is a software compatibility issue? This was the message left on the screen: "Requested URL was rejected."

Any help would be nice to keep me from using Safari...

I have two issues: One is figuring out how to remove what FF is storing on my device (an android phone). Clearing the cache does not do it. When I go to the menu, then privacy and security, which on my device is a title of a section, there is no cookie removal option. It is cookies and site data which is kind of annoying. I don't want ALL cookies deleted. I don't want signed out of all sites. I just want the 700 some odd MB's that FF is storing on my device gone. I would like to see what is being stored, and delete what is not necessary or useful. Does anyone know how to do that?

My second issue is that each time I update ff, all of my extensions, bookmarks and passwords disappear and I would like that to stop happening. I would like to know how to recover them. It is time consuming and frustrating to have to redo all of that each time I update ff, and some of it inevitably gets lost.

I open firefox. Homepage is there. I open a new page. A new screen appears which completely obliterates the former screen. As if I had just opened the internet. With the next page I go to, it is the same. Previous screens masked. And so on, and so on. Instead of separate tabs appearing at the top of the initial page

eg https://transportnsw.info/opal-view/#/account/cards is meant to show down arrow next to name - does not appear; go to Profile, Edit address - 'Save as delivery address' checkbox and Submit button do not work. Also had this on the StGeorge bank page https://www.ui.stgeorge.com.au/resolve/etb0/createCustComplaint - Next button does not work. other sites as well have buttons not working (about 20% of sites?) (Sorry both the above examples need accounts to test). Often (not always) if I open the page with Chrome it works. I think they were working ok after macOS update but after a Firefox update went to a very light screen - problem started then.

Also - using about:support the copy raw data button works; the copy text button does not.

Question is all there is, why does Firefox 153.0 x64 CRASH COMPLETELY and Windows 11 x64 "App Crash Reporting" is automatically invoked, 3 out of 4 times a simple "History - Clear History - Clear Everything" function is implemented??

VPN is on. I can't access the internet. Error message is either: An error occurred during a connection to www.thewindowsclub.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

Or: Connect to the internet You're offline. Check your connection.

I've googled the issue but it talks about ports and tunnels and going into settings. I've looked in the VPN Mozilla settings and there only seems the option to either include or exclude a website from the VPN. Nothing about different ports and testing. I've already written this message once but the VPN was on so it disconnected the internet and I lost this message! Trying a 2nd time now without the VPN

Any help? Or should I give up with it?

After years of using Firefox to access art sites, suddenly the sites no longer display all the images, leaving instead a verbal description of the art! This has happened in the last week! I am so frustrated with Firefox, I am considering switching to Safari or Chrome, as the don't have any problem downloading jpegs.

After a recent Firefox update, my Home/New Tab page changed dramatically and became hard to use. The issue is not just that the layout looks different — the new page is functionally worse for me because the shortcuts are oversized, they obscure the search bar area, and the trending/recommended stories are difficult to read.

I tried the usual fixes:

   I changed the New Tab/Home settings.

   I tried the about:config change to restore the older layout.

   The page returned to normal once, but only for one instance; after that, it went back to the problematic layout again.

So I think there are two problems:

   The redesigned Home/New Tab layout is too cluttered and interferes with basic use.

   My preference change is not sticking, because the page resets after a restart or later reopening.

What I need help with is:

   Why the Home/New Tab page is reverting after I change it.

   Whether this is caused by a Firefox study/experiment, session restore, a profile issue, or an extension.

   How to make the older compact layout stay permanently.

   My Firefox version is 153.0 (aarch 64).

   The problem happens after every restart of Firefox.

  Troubleshoot Mode changed nothing.

   The browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.nova.enabled setting was reset to false and that has held.

   I'm on macOS

   Using Sync across devices.

In addition I cannot find session restore - I was going to try unchecking it to see if that helps

I have the VPN from Firefox and I have chosen United States for location. Do I now simply search (google or whatever engine) or is there something else thhat I am missing?

the etrade bill pay summary page submit button will not work. instead displaying a red circle with a line through it. Etrade reports they are unaware of any problems. Last worked on 6/30/26. I tried all the general reccomendations. Have not tried edge yet, but that is my next move. I always use the private browsing setting for Etrade.

Roughly one third of my bookmarks all changed to sites I have visited recently. They still have the same labels, but when I click on them, they just take me to some random site I've visited recently.
