I run normal firefox on linux. Fully up-to-date. Every time I quit the app, it reverts to a version of my profile from a month ago, and loads all the tabs I had open then, and then receives all the tabs that I sent to the device in the interim (~1 month). As I speak, it just caught the 60 or 70 tabs in this window.

I tried changing the name of my profile folder to randomstring.defaultOLD and changed one of the backups to randomstring.default. This didn't change the behavior. I'm still stuck in the loop. I saved my tabs with onetab, because firefox isn't remembering my session anymore. I thought it was something to do with updates, like it only loses its mind upon updates, but that's not true. It thinks it's updating firefox EVERY TIME, because the one time it's loading to 1 month ago it was updating, but I'm 100% sure there are no updates to firefox in my linux. It's just hallucinating.

The articles on restoring from backup are outdated. They say to use an html file. There is no html file. It's just folders for profiles, not html files. HELP!

when i use Chrome or edge to access yahoo email I can write & edit. when using Firefox browser; I cannot write & edit/highlight/change text colours etc before sending. tried deleteing & re-installing Firefox . please help. Driving me crazy rsvp

For the built-in VPN, I'm able to add websites to exclude either manually in the settings (Built-in VPN > Manage website settings) or from the webpage itself using the VPN icon. However, even when I save, if I close and re-open Firefox, the list is cleared and I have to re-add everything.

Is this normal or is there some other setting I'm missing?

the login never completes and there are messages at the bottom of the screen that it is waiting for various sites like ips.navigatorixa mail.com if I wait Firefox eventually times out with site not responding

I cannot open any files on my Google Drive from one email account. I've tried opening troubleshoot mode, signing out of all accounts, clearing cache... but nothing works. I don't really know what's causing the issue because my Google Drive works fine on Safari. I'm lowkey getting really annoyed because my drive hasn't been able to work for a week... This issue occurs for both windows and mac OS.

I have Windows 11. I want to upload pictures to blogger but they will not upload. I have cleared my cache and turned off protections as suggested and they still will not upload.

If I'm using the built in VPN no pages will load, regardless of the location I pick. I did not have this issue previously, I've only first saw it the other day. No websites seem to work and as long as I have the VPN turned off everything works fine.

I use the dual English/German spell checker, a while back it stopped recognizing teh and ahve for example as the and have, only when turning off the German spell check it works again.

Is there any way to make one language take priority over the other (without having to turn languages off and on constantly?) or to get more suggested results?

Several times I've seen Firefox bookmarks becoming lost, disorganized, or duplicated. The missing ones have typically been folders of bookmarks. The duplications have been typically of folders. The disorganizations have been folders ending up in a different position in the list, often at or near the bottom when that's not where I put them. What causes this, and can it be prevented?

Hi, I can no longer login using Firefox (latest version for my mac 154.0) into a website that I had no issues logging into until now. Nothing that I am aware off changed on my computer during the last few months. I turned off protections for the website, but it doesn't help. It just sits there, no error message.

I can login into the same website, with the same exact credentials using Safari.

Any idea why this might happen? Does anyone else experiences the same?

I'm on FF 154.0. The power went out here and when it came back and I booted the desktop computer something had changed in FF.

I used to see the active tab as green in the tab bar and yellow for the rest, but now they're all gray until I mouse over the bar and only then does it turn green/yellow.

I struggled with this for many hours trying many //active tab color// solutions I found in searches but nothing got it back to my old behavior.

So as a last resort I tried adding the Firefox Color extension, but when I click Add to Firefox it just turns into a throbber that never changes so it doesn't install. I'm stuck!

Frustrated!!

I'm trying to remove the "recommended stories" section of the new tab page. Using the pencil button, I can toggle off the "recommended stories" button. But it doesn't stay off! After toggling off, if I open a new tab or even relaunch Firefox, the toggle is back on.

One instance does not have bookmarks and passwords. The machine keeps switching between instances for Default. Machine is Ideapad 1i Windows, 11 64bit. Both Versions of of Firefox Appear to be 155.0.
