Thunderbird 128.13.0.esr on Linux Mint 22.1

Hi, my mail provider has set up a new 2FA login procedure, which generally works. However, the situation is as follows: - username and password are stored in TB passwords - Nevertheless, 9 authentication windows (for 7 calenders/tasks) open after every app start. These must be processed in the exact correct order, 1-n. If you try to enter the credentials in a window out of order, it won't work. Furthermore, windows out of order can neither be closed nor can you click Cancel. I've since discovered that it's sufficient to enter the credentials only in the first window. However, the remaining windows then have to be laboriously closed IN THE CORRECT ORDER. - Also, even during a session, an authentication window opens repeatedly, depending on session duration

Since the authentication generally works, this clearly seems to be a Thunderbird problem.

Hi, is it possible to change the calender of thunderbird time grid from 30 minutes to 15 minutes? I know, that I can set the time of single dates to it, but I am looking for changing the presentation in the calender. thanks, Stefan.

Hello all. I've just been upgraded to 'Thunderbird 140.1.0esr (32-bit)'. My Tasks and Events reminder list is no longer showing - they were showing yesterday under previous version. I've looked at similar queries and answers here but not found a solution. I have not changed any settings. I only have one calendar and one task list.

Would be grateful for any advice - thanks!

Some of my calendar reminders are not appearing. At least one in particular is still showing. This is a daily reminder. Other reminders whether for a set period or just a one off do not appear.

I am using Version 140.1 on Firefox.

I have a win 10 computer and when I open TB I get my coming activities/calendar in the events side bar. I can 't seem to get that up and running in my win 11 computer. Both are running TB 141. I have installed the add on ( google calendar) My calendar doesn't seem to be available. Wondering what I need to do? Thanks

Like many others task reminders do not pop up any more. That is, old and repeat -- in case it matters? -- task reminders do not pop up, but a new task reminder did so. So, it appears, repeat reminders are frozen in the past. I do log out occassionally. Thunderbird 141.0 (64-bit) on Windows 10. "Show the reminder dialogue (X)" and "Show missed reminders for writeable calendar" are ticked. "calendar.alarms.show" and "calendar.alarms.showmissed" are set to true. "calendar.alarms.onfortodos" is set to 1. Any other ideas?

Thunderbird 141, after updating all calendars are inactive. No possibility to add a new calendar, e.g. associated with a Google account. This happens on several computers

When I move a task on google mail for Android from one calendar to another, the task list on the Thunderbird desktop shows me two copies of the task! see image2 When I try to delete the original task in thunderbird desktop from the task list I get the prompt: see image1 When I change the calendar on the desktop, the same prompt occurs. I can delete the moved copy of the task from the new calendar, but the original task in the original calendar is undeletable! Clicking "Synchronize" for the original calendar doesn't change anything!

Google calendar provider has stopped working and I can’t import my calendar into Thunderbird. I fill out the Google account email and password, but I got a message saying that it can’t reach the server.

When I create a task, I set reminders for say 5 minutes before. But they never 'fire'. Reminders for calendar events work and I know Thunderbird treats Events and Tasks somewhat the same, but I don't know how to get them to fire off. Thanks

After the recent update to 140.1.0esr Lightning calendar reminders do not come up correctly (W11 if it makes any difference)

Previously reminders worked as they should, I have several daily, some weekly, fortnightly and as required, only the odd one comes up and one or two will come up but then disappear without my intervention

I have tried all the various settings to no avail

Someone in another thread suggested their old email address needed to be changed in Calendar properties, but I cannot find Calendar properties anywhere

I used to use Remindafox which worked better than Lightning but had to use Lightning when it was discontinued

Is there a fix for this as its totally unreliable at present

Is there any way I can get the Thunderbird calendar (CTRL-3) to show only 3 or 4 days at a time?

In Google Calendar on the web interface I can select Day / Week / Month / Year or 4 days.

In Thunderbird it appears I can only select from Day / Week / Multiweek and Month. Ideally I would like to show 4 days at a time.

Been combing through the web and the settings but have not found anything yet.

I'm using thunderbird on windows on PC and on my lap, on lap i dont have monthly calendar on side panel just today date, when i click bottom oriented arrow monthly calendar is popup without signatures of events, how can i put this calendar to stay on sidebar with events like on my PC, also i tested width of this panel, thought if i make it wider it will show but no :c

I use Thunderbird as main email client on PC, I also access via iPAD email

On iPAD if I get a Calendar invite (eg Teams) I can scroll to bottom of the invite, and there is an option to add ICS file to Calendar. I click on it and it pushes the invite to Google Calendar, and it inserts the correct appointment.

However on my main device (W11 PC) Thunderbird does not show any ICS file. There is a banner that say "This message contains event information. Enable a Calendar to Handle it" Can it be configured to use Google Calendar as the linked Calendar ? If so, could someone explain to me how to do this.

Hoping someone may be able to help. I see that other users are able to fully highlight the events in calendar. I seem to be only able to highlight 2/3's (see image)
