I’ve been using Firefox with a screen reader, and while it works for most basic browsing, I’ve noticed some issues with certain sites. For example, form fields aren’t always announced properly, and sometimes navigation landmarks are skipped. When I test the same pages in Chrome, the experience feels smoother.

I’d like to keep using Firefox, so I’m wondering — is there something I can adjust in my settings to improve screen reader support? Or is this more of a compatibility issue that needs to be reported as a bug?

If others here use screen readers with Firefox, I’d love to know what has worked for you. Are there specific add-ons, preferences, or troubleshooting steps that make accessibility better?

As the title says. I get this prompt on videos from different, yet particular websites and sources. And they fail to load. It's also happened where some video's work and some don't, side-by-side on the same website and session.

• I've tried clearing all of my cached data, my browser history, cookies, site-data, settings, and fill-out information. No avail.
• I've tried disabling all of my extensions and add-ons.
• I've even tried using google instead, but I just get constant loading on those particular video's with no thumbnail (As depicted in second picture).
• I've checked my video drivers for updates.
• I've tried reinstalling Adobe Flash Player, even though it says it's no longer supported.

Since it also might be happening in another browser. I understand how this might not be Firefox's fault. But I'm hoping you'll be able to help me still.

What happened to Firefox's permission's page? There's so few options now. I'm being harassed by websites to give them permission that should be blocked across the entire browser. I'm autistic and sensitive to popups/interruptions/distractions. So most permissions I simply had off for everything, because I don't want to be asked anything. I don't want to confirm anything. I don't want any popup of any type. So I turned everything off and it was good. (except blocking cookies of course)

But now sites are asking me again and there's no way to blanket turn off everything. I see I can press "Ctrl+i" to bring up specific permissions for that site, but that's not good enough. I specifically need permissions blocked for sites I've never visited. Needing to visit the site first completely defeats the purpose.

The permissions listed in the settings isn't all of them. How do I turn off ALL permissions for ALL sites. I can turn on specific permissions when I want them. Essentially, how do I recreate functionality that used to exist but was removed from us for whatever reason.

Also, it's a huge security hole! I'm a senior full stack developer. Asking permissions for a user is a great way to fingerprint them. If I accidentally hit "yes" to a few key permissions, I can be fingerprinted. Another reason I should be able to blanket ban these permissions. I just want my browser to be a browser. These permissions do nothing for me but make the experience worse.

I can't send mail via smtp.comcast.net. I can connect to IMAP and get mail, and I can send from my iphone and (new) Outlook. Running TB v142.0 (64 bit) on Windows 11. Issue is reproducible on second system. When I try to send mail, client tries for 1 minute, then times out with "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.comcast.net timed out. Try again."

For reasons I can't fathom, Thunderbird and Google aren't speaking to each other at the moment. :)

have nuisance screens from Google that I cannot provide information in to resolve the problem. I believe that somehow Google is no longer recognizing passwords sent from Thunderbird and vice versa. I'm not receiving email in my Thunderbird inboxes.

My solution is to delete the affected accounts from Thunderbird and add them back. I have passwords.

Before I do this, I thought it prudent to ask the experts if this sounds like a good plan.

I am writing to report an issue I have consistently encountered while using the Firefox browser. Whenever I log into my Mozilla account, the custom theme I have selected for Firefox is reset to the default theme. This necessitates manually re-selecting my preferred theme each time I log in.

Every since I updated my MacBook Pro M1 Max chip to Firefox 142.0.1 (aarch64), Firefox locks up & has to be "Force Quit" & restarted almost every day. Please update the app ASAP so I don't have to convert to Google Chrome. Thank you!

Overnight my PC had a normal software update. Since then, when I click the arrow symbol to download all attachments, nothing happens. The only way to download attachments now is to click the magnifying glass, then save. For my work I need to download multiple attachments from multiple emails a day so it's pretty inconvenient.

I have been on Mozilla for 10 plus years. So now your asking and treating me like a new customer. I just want to get on and conduct my business.. So I can't do that, so I guess it's time to move on.

Every time I login on my computer, there is already an open Firefox webpage with a dialog box asking me if I want Firefox to be my primary default browser. Once I click "Set a Default Browse", a Microsoft Edge webpage appears giving me a list of choices of Microsoft application to select to be my browser. Firefox is not on the list. There is also a dialog box that appears on the lower right corner of the screen showing me the steps on how to make Firefox my default browser. The choices are "Show Me How" and "No Thanks". When I click the "Show me how", I am taken to Firefox setting, once I click the "Make Default" I am taken back to the list of Microsoft applications to choose as my browser. The bottom line is I cannot make Firefox my default browser anymore. In fact, I am not even sure if I am sending this message to Firefox or Mozilla. I've gone through the various troubleshooting options over the last month or so and Firefox is still crashing constantly for me, even in Troubleshooting mode. The tabs crash when I'm using a Google Doc, YouTube, Discord, doesn't matter the site; I've submitted about 20 crash reports this morning alone and failed to submit several more:

My home page is Fox News and Firefox current version is slow opening videos everywhere, but especially on Fox. Any ideas? They open quicker on other browsers but I like Firefox!!!
