hi, firefox 19 crashes few times per day at random times, on all pc-s i have.

report latetest crashes: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-8c4cfcc3-dc5e-482d-9973-f9e032130303 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-6ea3bfb6-2c9a-4f00-8142-42dc82130303

i use plugins: adblock, foxyproxy and ReloadEvery, latest versions. Each plugin was disabled for testing, but crashes still. Intel gfx driver updated, wifi driver updated, firefox hard.acceleration was disabled for testing, same result, crashes. It lasts few years and im out of nerves already:( new netbook also behaves the same way.

You can also try to disable the Java Quick Starter extension: Tools -> Addons -> Extensions Control Panel -> Java -> Advanced tab -> Miscellaneous -> Java Quick Starter (disable)

new profile created month ago, didnt help. Now i try to uninstall Java for test. Thank you!

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

virus and malwarecheck are made, windows reinstalling tried, no luck. Yesterday i uninstalled Java, 20 hours and crashed again few minutes ago, during reading a website, foxyproxy add-on enabled, about 15 tabs opened:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Did you try a direct connection without using a proxy?

See "Firefox connection settings":

unfortunately crashes still happen every day, many times, on both laptops. Im computer technician in big company, so im sure that there is no malware, viruses, or Windows7 problems on my PC-s. Everything checked and doublechecked. All other software works flawlessly, RAM checks done, no overclocking etc.

The crash report is in the ws2_32.dll and that file is part of Windows sockets.

This could indicate a problem with the current connection settings.

Are you currently using a (company) proxy to connect?

thanks for quick answer, yes i use Foxyproxy Standard latest version plugin for "smart" proxy redirections. It has two rules for two special sites, all other sites get "direct network connection" without proxy. Googled and never found that foxyproxy would cause crashes. Also i cannot disable this plugin, because its the only purpose i use firefox, 24h monitoring of some websites. I will try to inspect foxyproxy configuration closely, will try to disable some parts of the filter masks for testing, thanks, think we are close to the cause:)

checked my foxyproxy filters, no syntax errors, no duplicate entries, everything as supposed to be. Still got four crashes today, attached.
