using windows XP Pak3, firefox 3.6.13 crashes all the time. Also, tabs work differently I used to keep the sites I use consistently as permanent tabs, this version will not do this. I want to go back to an earlier version than 3.6- never had problems until 3.6 versions came out!

Which Firefox version did you have before the update?

You can only have permanent tabs if they are locked by an extension. So if it isn't working then you need to see if there is an update of that extension that works with Firefox 3.6

There are other things that need attention:

Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.

  • Java Plug-in 1.6.0_03 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)

Update the Java plugin to the latest version.

How do you dare to update software installed on my workstation without my permission?!?!?! I need my working Firefox version 3.6 NOW AND WITH ALL WORKING PLUGINS I WAS USING AND ALL MY SETTINGS!!!! I don't care how you will fix it - I didn't give permission to update the browser! Otherwise I will take legal steps for interference with private property!
