Dear Sir

Since last week Oct 23, 2010 I am having problem using tabs on different web sites, for example.

1. After entering my Bank's web site I am not able to use the tab that opens the log in page (on opening Help/Troubleshooting I received the massage: privacy.popups.showBrowserMessage false) After contacting my Bank I was able to log in through "Privet Browsing" but stil I canot use the print tab (on opening Help/Troubleshooting I received the massage: print.printer_Adobe_PDF.print_to_file false)

2. After entering "Modelclub/Forum" web site and try to post a message I am unable to open annotations tab (on opening Help/Troubleshooting I received the massage: browser.places.migratePostDataAnnotations False)

On both cases after exiting Firefox I am not able to open Firefox again unless I restart my computer. Finally I have to mention that I was able to work properly at least on second case after starting Firefox in "Safe Mode" Thank you in advance for your time and concern to my query.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your immediate answer to my query. Your instruction was followed and the problem was shorted out, the cause been an extension, actually a downloader for digital something. Thank you once again for your excellent service.
