I hate the new version of Firefox for not preserving my preferences. Very disappointing!!!

First came the Linux upgrade and with it the enforced new Firefox version. The new Firefox appeared "raw" with none of my previous settings. I am having trouble filling in the Firefox toolbar and recovering things like "most visited" sites listing and many others. There must be a common sense limit to the "happy developers'" ideas.

You may have switched to the Firefox snap version.

You can try Firefox from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution to see if it behaves differently.
