Alright first of all I already tried all the tipps about Proxy and basically anything network related. It also happened out of nowhere since I was using my computer the night before but when I tried opening Firefox the next day it wouldnt load any site, crashed if I tried too much or got really weird and even if it did load after a long time of trial and error it only lasted for a bit and didnt load fully either. I'm on version 108.0.2 as of the last time checking. Everything else seems to be updated as well especially since other browsers work perfectly fine. I also cant really click on much since as I said if I try too much it crashes or doesnt work as intended. I'll provide some pictures which might help the cash report just in case.

I'd also rather not try reinstalling everything since I have a lot of rather important tabs open and I dont wanna risk losing any of them since im not sure how well the Firefox sync. works in this case.

Don't you have a recent upgrade.jsonlz4 in the sessionstore-backups folder ?

You can look at this tool to inspect a compressed jsonlz4 sessionstore file. This tool works locally, no uploading done.

Did you try without using Proxy/VPN first as well? Also if those other sites don't use the proxy setting you inputted into Firefox it would have no effect on them.

I dont use any specific Proxy or VPN in general and my Firefox setting is set on using the pcs Proxy settings.

Worked perfectly fine before since I never changed anything. Also sorry that its in german.

It didnt change anything at first but after restarting the pc some tabs load, but not even half and very slow and everything still feels kinda buggy and slow in general as in when I switch from tab to tab etc. Not sure if the no proxy setting did anything since this happened already, so it might be back to being worse once I restart again.

But first of all thanks for the help since it at least works for the current session but no Idea what might happen tomorrow or if it will keep taking ages to load even with 500 Mbits. If you have any other suggestions feel free to let me know.

And now im back to not being able to click on anything and nothing loading reliably. Cant create new tabs and cant click on existing ones so everything is just frozen and trying to load I guess. Also cant minimize the firefox window on my second mintor and the Bookmarks under the Tabs are also gone, weird. Not sure if the last crash report (which suprisingly hasnt happened since then) is in the original post but if not I can post it again if it somehow helps.

Did you recently uninstall an application that was using Visual C+ runtime components?

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

See "Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022":

You may also have to install the Visual Studio 2013 Redistributable Package. You need to reboot the computer.

Didnt uninstall anything recently and VCRUNTIME still seems to be on my computer. As for Visual C++ I'll add a picture with everything that I have but it seems to be normal.

Had to reboot my pc to even be able to see this tab again so it took me a while to answer. Takes ages to load tabs and if I click on them or switch between them to often everything just freezes.

A quick update: After restarting/crashing I can sometimes view videos or they at least seem to be able to load, but firefox freezes after trying to load more than 1 or 2 tabs if even and I cant even get into settings with how bugy it is since it doesnt let me click on anything. What I noticed is that the recent crash report, though it suprisingly doesnt crash often, says MozCrashReason: Failed to load critical module "resource://gre/modules/WebNavigation.jsm".

Thanks to everyone that tried to help! The problem was that my previous session so sessionstore.jsonlz4 was corrupted so I renamed it to sessionstoreOLD.jsonlz4. Everything works again but all my tabs are gone since its obviously a clean new session. I still have the old sessionstore and was wondering how I could extract any of the old tabs or load a complete old session. (Everything worked on the 13th but the only sessionstore files and other ones I can find in the backup folder I made of everything before renaming is the 15th which seems to be the corrupted one. I had a looot of tabs which I needed to clean out either way but still some important ones which I really want back especially since the firefox sync doesnt work with this many.)

I'll try searching for a solution to get the tabs back or open another help request later.

I have some rather recent upgrade.jsonlz4.

As for the scrounger I tried it but it didnt seem to work with how many tabs I had open or I just didnt use it right.

Update: It worked! Didnt know the upgrade files where a exact backup too, even though the last one is already 5 days old but better than loosing all the tabs. Renamed it to sessionstore after following your "guide" on someones elses article and everything seems to work perfectly again.

So again thanks a lot! Really glad to see so many people actively helping others here.
