Out of nowhere, none of my Mac downloads activate

I didn’t really have a topic choice that really fit for this. I can download files if I right click and ‘save link as’. However, If I click a download button it doesn’t trigger any sort of action. Nothing happens. It doesn’t even show any activity in the download tab of the browser.

I have not tried my PC yet, but will circle back after I give that a shot as well.
