I'm working with an Ext JS web-app that requires taking in a barcode. The data comes in fine when scanning to Microsoft Word or Notepad but in Firefox, before the scan is complete, it will switch and reload tabs, open the download folder and just be wonky. I'm thinking it has something to do with shortcuts but I can't seem to find a setting that I can switch to stop it from happening. Any ideas?

Just as an update.. some barcodes have a line feed character in them which browsers interpret as CTRL + J, a shortcut to open the downloads folder . Barcode scanners typically have an option to remove the Line feed character at the END of a barcode. Not sure how to solve the line feed in the middle of the barcode yet. I do not think firefox has a native way of editing/changing/disabling shortcuts individually
