i want to open new page instead of a tab. how do i?

I believe the option you are looking for is New Window. This can be done a couple of ways:

  • Right click a link and select Open in New Window
  • The command + N keyboard shortcut
  • Clicking the menu button on Firefox and selecting New Window
  • Opening a new tab or taking an existing tab and drag it away from the tab bar
