i log into Pinterest and when i cliclk on a pic it will bring it up and then when i click on the pic to goto that link it dosent work and its only in Firefox

when i am in Pinterest when i click on a pic it will bring that pice up and then when i click on it to bring me to that link it will not go to it it works on all the other Browsers but not on Firefox i do have a work around and that is to go to your options or (preferences on a MAC) and make it show up in a new window not a new tab. I need to know if this glitch in Firefox will be fixed please let me know and it is on the browsers side i have been on a pc and a Mac and it works in Chrome IE just not Firefox

This was reported in another thread and remains a puzzle.

A direct click on the link in Pinterest causes the "no loading" problem. But:

  • If you load the identical link from another site, it works.
  • If you click in the address bar and press Alt+Enter to direct the URL to a new tab, the destination page will load.
  • Another user reported if you open and close the developer tools on the blank page by pressing the F12 function key once and then again, it loads.

The other thread doesn't really have answers, but for reference: Pinterest works on IE, not on Mozilla/Foxfire (skip over the October posts, those were a different issue).

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

i tried in safe mode and i removed all blocks from Firefox in the security settings the disconect seems to be from your browser and just Pinterest any other site i go to that has links works I.E Facebook Google...

well ijust tried F12 after i hit the link and that WORKS but i shouldn't have to hit F12 every time i click a link and what do i do for the Mac book F12 is not working
