Firefox forcing HTTPS

I am a developer. When I create a new site on a new server I usually test it using HTTP. Some clients aren't interested in HTTPS at all. I tested one of these domains with HTTP anf HTTPS, switching off HTTPS for the moment. From the second I tried HTTPS, even if the certificate doesn't work (It's not installed), Firefox always "autocomplete" the URL in my address bar switching HTTP to HTTPS, and preventing me from seeing the website at all. Chrome and Edge are not giving me this problem. The server is not forcing HTTPS. How can I stop FF from doing this? FF used to be my dev browser of choice but if I can't preview my website/servers I will just have to drop it. As it stands, the browser became unusable and useless to me.

Firefox is starting to prefer https by default. I think in this case, you should be able to visit more pages on the http site, and then it'll default back to http. If you search your history for the https version of the site, and delete those, then re-visit the http version, that should fix it I believe.

You can check the history for HTTPS items to this website.

You can check the SiteSecurityServiceState.txt file in the profile folder to see if there is a reference to this domain and remove corresponding lines.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
