I have marked in firefox settings not to update but still firefox gets update from version 51 to 56 only on windows 10 machine. how to stop updating firefox?

Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select Update. Check the settings.

Also turn off Use a background service to install updates
