From the Add-Ons page, I select "Check to see if your pluggins are up to date". The rotating circle runs and runs and runs and never displays the resultant screen. I can also hit this error when I select "Update Now" from a plug-in.

Running Mozilla Firefox 49.02 on Win XP. (Which has been working up to now)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
