Hi there!

This is a easy fix for this. Normally, during EVERY update, you get a "Old Firefox" folder on your desktop or someplace else. If you made the saves before the update, its in the folder. Try and reload Firefox with the old save, then update the Firefox once more (if necessary) then you have them back!

I hope this helps!

False! That "Old Firefox Data" appears after the user does a Reset / Refresh of their Profile, and it only appears on the desktop. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

The Refresh and that Old Firefox Data folder is NOT related to a Firefox update and NOT a "normal" part of using Firefox. And Password data isn't part of the Refresh process, it is supposed to "survive" the Refresh; although I once got a tiny logons.json file with no data in the Old Firefox Data folder, but I'm sure why that happened.

I executed a restore and the "Old Firefox Data" has a logins.json.corrupt file. Is there anyway to fix this file? Any ideas on how it became corrupted?

You can open the logins.json.corrupt file in the Scratchpad ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Web Developer) to check the file for errors. Click the "Pretty Print" button to format the file for readability. "Pretty Print" changes the double quotes in the file to single quotes, so to make change like removing a corrupted section you need to do that to the plain logins.json.corrupt file that consist of one long line.

I googled "logins.json.corrupted" and this entry solved my problem. Thanks for your help.

Scratch that. Solved with a post somebody else mentioned at http://codeverge.com/mozilla.support.firefox/saved-passwords-disappeared-on-update/2006894

"You can force Firefox to re-import your old passwords. Here's how: 1. In the location bar, type "about:config" (without the quotes) and press <Enter>. 2. Click [I'll be careful, I Promise!] 3. Search for the preference: signon.importedFromSqlite 4. Right click on signon.importedFromSqlite, and select "Reset". 5. Go to Help-->Troubleshooting_Information, then click on [Open Folder]. That will open Windows Explorer in your Firefox profile. 6. Close Firefox 7. In your profile folder, delete the file "logins.json"."

Thanks Chris!
